Palm Cove is a very blissful place. Sunny beaches, gently swaying palm trees, a touch of magic in the air... ah Palm Cove, you certainly stole my heart! Located half an hour north of Cairns airport, PC can only be described as a haven for entrepreneurs and business owners looking to hold in-person masterminds, workshops and retreats.
There are so many pro's to holding your more intensive events here, like being able to stay within the country but still feeling like it's a unique getaway; it's affordable to stay here and run events on any budget; it's family friendly for those needing to bring their kids along and you can easily turn it into a family holiday; Cairns airport is super efficient (honestly it's a small airport but I was SO impressed with the service) and there is so much accessible by foot that you don't need to leave the town - supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, shopping... it's all right there.
After hitting up Byron Bay in April, I then went on a whirlwind trip to Sydney, flying in late one evening, spending the next day with my lovely friend Miss KMS checking out venues and then flying home again the next morning for Mothers Day.
Venues are like real estate. What you see on a website isn't always what you get. And as someone who recommends venues regularly through my event management services and virtual event assistance services, I make the effort to visit as many as I can in person so I know that they are up to a certain standard.
Byron Bay is one of my favourite places to visit, I absolutely love it. I got married there in 2008 and fell head over heels for it's beauty and it's laid back nature. My dream is to live there three months of the year and just soak up all the goodness it has to offer. For now though, I try and go back as much as I can and last month I took my bub and my niece up there for a week away. While we were there I managed to check in on some gorgeous venues and now I want to share them with you so you know exactly where you can go to host your next workshop, retreat or event.
